The residence stands in a site sandwiched by various residential settlements within a dense urban area. There are two main massing that made up the house, with each its own qualities and functions. The ground floor contains general activities such as living, dining, pantry and service quarters, all inside a narrow rectangular box – while the second mass contains private functions, more voluminous and massive in comparison to the first mass. The open plan allows view and light access throughout the interior. The semi-transparent wire mesh wall, adds more fluidity to the space. This condition translates the basic vernacular house with a contemporary update, capturing movement and velocity of what its like to live in the fast-paced world.
