The MW Residence has a very simple programming. It was made out of two boxes that were stacked on top of each other. The top box serves as a canopy and shading for the box below it. The site has a wide span of openings on both the east and west side of the site, so the facade is mostly solid on the top floor while still has an opening towards the street level view, using a plane that closes up a large cover area of the windows. This way the building has areas where light slits through the plane, instead of giving a harsh glare by exposing.
