Cork & Screw

The Cork & Screw restaurant is located in The Maj’s complex where Senayan National Golf Club is. The site is surrounded by great trees, overlooking a lake that makes the location pretty special. The general massing of the restaurant is an L-shaped form, embracing the green area in front of it to create a visual dialogue with one another. The retained vegetation plays a great role in creating the cool, crisp ambiance of the restaurant. With different degrees of openness, the entrance, bar, dining area, patio, terrace, outdoor deck and the pool all has different vibes that complements each other. The boundary between what’s inside and out is blurred, playfully bringing the outdoors inside and vice versa. The different elevations also supports the approach, along with the use of other architectural elements such as sliding doors, transparent roofs, and skylights.
