In the midst of shady trees in Cilandak, Sekolah Cikal stand in their 8,000 sqm plot of land, at the side of a highway. The orange-tinted concrete building stands along trees and natural shading, preserving as much as existing vegetation as possible. The school has an inside view of the existing trees, presenting natural view to the classrooms. The classroom extends to the rear of the site, forming an angular outline that follows the patches of trees. The multipurpose hall stands in the face of the site, as well as administrative functions that are nearer to the road to form a block from the traffic noise. Cikal aims to be the perfect place to study as kids would spend hours everyday within its architecture. The design adheres to children and their spatial development with the different levels of topography and building height that are playful and unique for the kids.
