AS Residence

Located in Jogjakarta, one of the most influential art cities in Indonesia, the AS Residence belongs to a local painter. The site lies next to the artist’s painting studio, in a suburban neighborhood in central part of Jogjakarta. Both buildings, the house and the studio, has quite an opposite of necessities and need from each other. The studio will serve more as a communal space, for the artist to work and entertain guest at the same time. While in comparison, the house will have a more private and intimate concerns with moderated openings and communal spaces.
