TANAH TEDUH – Jakarta, 2007-2012
Tanah Teduh is a residential project in Jakarta aiming to emphasize Indonesian contemporary architecture while revolutionizing an environmentally friendly urban living. It is a collaborative work between ten prominent local architects to individually design a house, unique in its own yet still in similar color pallette and materiality. A master plan designed by andramatin is envisaged to be in harmony with the existing natural features and for its built structures. The design keeps with the natural undulating contours of the land, the position of the trees and the natural ponds. The end result is only 20 percent of the two-hectare land area is used for the building structures, leaving the rest for green landscaping, water processing and catchment area.
